Clare Hussey – 2024 Vic Tour Champion

Clare Hussey has capped off a stellar season by claiming the title of 2024 Disc Golf Victoria Tour Champion in the Women’s Division.

Demonstrating skill and determination throughout the year, Clare participated in seven tour events across the state, delivering outstanding performances in both the FPO and MA40 divisions.

In the FPO division, she secured first-place finishes at both The Ruffey Rumble and the prestigious Vic Open. Competing in the MA40 division, Clare showcased her versatility with a second-place finish at The Big Wet, third-place finishes at The Golden City Classic and Kingston City Classic, a fourth-place result at the Inverleigh Open, and a fifth-place showing at the Central Vic Classic.

Although not part of the Vic Tour, Clare’s season reached a triumphant climax with an incredible victory at the National Championships in Molong, NSW, where she outclassed competitors from across the world to cement her position as one of Australia’s top disc golfers.

Anita Weber finished the Tour in second place, narrowly edging out Georgia Carroll in a tie-break. Both players finished on the same points, but Anita’s higher placements in key events secured her the runner-up position. Congratulations to all three players for an exceptional season!
